Some time ago I made a T-shirt for myself at a local shop. It was a simple, charcoal-grey shirt with a cool font like an old typewriter (much like the one I use today) and all it said was "503" big and bold right across the chest. I'd wear it sometimes when I would meet my buddies at our local watering hole for beers or when out and about other places in town.
(503 is the original telephone area code for Oregon from 1947. It was restricted to Northwestern Oregon - including Portland - in 1995.)
I got a lot of nice comments on that shirt. I still have it, of course! Several times I was asked where I got it. A couple of times the person even asked me where they could get one for themselves. I had to tell them, "Sorry - I made this myself. It's not available for sale anywhere."
Fast forward to March 1st of this year (2020) when I downloaded some info on starting my own eCommerce business. I don't know why it took me so long, but I finally realized that I could make my own shirts and other cool things and sell them online. Then, of course, the pandemic hit a couple of weeks later and we were all locked down in our homes. I still had/have a very much full-time job as an apartment manager, but with my social life suddenly eliminated, I had a lot of time to work on setting up my business.
And now here I am! And here you are! Crazy, isn't it? Life is weird, but wonderful!
Thanks for taking the time to read my story. I really hope you find something you like in my shop. If not, please contact me and I'll see what I can find for you. Maybe we can customize an existing item for you or find an entirely new item that isn't even in the shop yet. Just let me know what you're looking for or thinking about. I'll do my best to help you out.
